‘Ntama’, which means ‘clothing, cloth or garment’ in the ‘Twi’ dialect spoken by my grandparents. This garment can be draped into many shapes and forms for various occasions. Drawing on my Ghanaian heritage, it is made out of ‘kente cloth’ fabric and the construction inspired by how kente cloth is traditionally draped in many different ways by the people of Ghana.  My design aims to bring the traditional into the future, by fusing the traditional with modern versatile aesthetic.
